Hello, world (again)
Welcome to the third version of this website. I rebuilt it because the second one felt loud, and because I'd learned a few things since.
Why again
The honest answer is that I keep getting better at recognizing which moments deserve interactive flourishes and which moments don't. Version two had reveal-on-scroll on every paragraph and a hero that did approximately seven things at once. Version three has one deliberate moment — the paper-cut parallax — and tries to earn the rest of its personality through restraint.
What's different
A short list, in no particular order:
- Single signature 3D conceit instead of a parade of effects
- Studio-bright palette with a mute foundation and two real accents
- Content-forward typography, with mono used as an engineer signal rather than decoration
- An actual writing section that works
What's next
Real content, mostly. The site shipped before the bio did. That's on purpose — I'd rather have a working frame to write into than a lovely skeleton with no posts.
More soon.
